Position Overview

Key Staffing is currently recruiting for a Stand-Up Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced food production and distribution environment. This position is responsible for safely operating a stand-up forklift to move, stage, load, unload, and organize products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting shipping and receiving operations.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and experienced operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a stand-up forklift to transport products, pallets, and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers while ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
• Stage materials and finished products for shipping, receiving, and production.
• Pull customer orders accurately according to pick lists and shipping documentation.
• Scan, label, and verify inventory using warehouse management systems or RF scanners.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
• Work closely with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
• Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of stand-up forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or cold storage is preferred.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order picking.
• Ability to safely move, stack, and stage palletized products.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous stand-up forklift experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, reaching, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated or warehouse environments as needed.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug screening.
• Must follow all company safety policies, food safety standards, and attendance expectations.
