Senior Accountant
Position Overview
Key Staffing is conducting a confidential direct-hire search for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a stable, multi-entity organization operating within agriculture and real estate–related business segments. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a critical part in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple entities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, multi-entity experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Close
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities
- Assist with specialized reporting, including lender and management reports
- Support preparation of market-value balance sheets and internal financial schedules
Workpapers & Compliance
- Prepare detailed workpapers for CPA review, audits, and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support external reporting and financial reviews as needed
Accounts Receivable
- Perform intercompany invoicing
- Prepare invoicing related to commercial or operating assets
- Post and apply customer payments
Accounts Payable Support
- Provide backup support to Accounts Payable, including invoice coding and processing
- Assist with annual 1099 preparation
Fixed Assets & Depreciation
- Maintain depreciation schedules for equipment, property, and other fixed assets
- Ensure proper capitalization and depreciation treatment
Credit Card Administration
- Administer company credit card activity
- Review transactions, ensure proper coding, and monitor compliance
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience supporting multi-entity accounting environments
- Exposure to agriculture, real estate, or asset-heavy operations strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 DOE
