Key Staffing, a leading recruitment firm, is proud to support a well-established environmental services provider in hiring a Safety Specialist for their metal recovery processing facility in Lost Hills, CA. This is an exciting direct hire opportunity to step into a hands-on safety role at a company that values innovation, safety, and sustainability.

Position Overview:

The Safety Specialist will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment by supporting the implementation of safety programs, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)

• Facilitate new hire safety training and onboarding programs

• Monitor regulatory compliance with federal and state safety standards

• Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions

• Maintain safety documentation and records (SDS, reports, training logs)

• Assist with emergency planning, drills, and first aid coordination

• Promote daily safety awareness through walkthroughs and toolbox talks

• Collaborate with supervisors and employees to identify safety improvements

• Support ergonomic and workplace enhancements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Familiarity with OSHA/Cal-OSHA standards

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency

• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required

• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a drug screen and physical

Schedule & Compensation:

• Day Shift (Occasional night shift as needed)

• Pay Rate: $28.85–$31.25/hour

• Location: Lost Hills, CA
