Job Title: Provider Adds/Eligibility Specialist
Location: Visalia, CA
Pay: $20.50
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday + Overtime and Weekends as Needed
Position Overview
Key Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented Provider Adds/Eligibility Specialist to support a fast-paced healthcare organization. This role is responsible for processing monthly health plan eligibility files, analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting managed care operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining data accuracy while providing exceptional internal support across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly health plan eligibility files and membership data
- Review and reconcile member eligibility, coordination of benefits, and out-of-pocket limits
- Produce, validate, and maintain monthly reports
- Research, compile, and prepare responses to health plan patient grievances
- Analyze healthcare data and recommend process improvements when appropriate
- Serve as a liaison between departments and provide support to team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic records
- Complete payroll-related documentation, including timecards, accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding eligibility and member information
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree, certification, or continued education in Health Information Technology or Healthcare Administration is a plus
- 2–3 years of experience in a physician's office, health insurance, IPA, or managed care environment preferred
- Experience processing eligibility files, medical claims, or healthcare data preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines is preferred
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes, and medical terminology is a plus
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a standard office environment
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require
- Must successfully pass required drug screening and skills assessments
