Payroll Specialist (Bilingual English/Spanish) – Temp to Hire
Location: Delano, CA 
On-site | Monday–Friday | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $22 - $25/hr. DOE

Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Payroll Specialist to join a well-established organization in the Delano area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering a steady weekday schedule with a supportive team and long-term growth potential.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent Excel skills, and can communicate fluently in both English and Spanish to support a diverse employee base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process electronic and paper timecards for payroll accuracy

• Enter payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare pay batches

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and wage garnishments

• Process final checks for terminations in coordination with HR

• Maintain personnel files and ensure records are audit-ready

• Run reports on attendance, vacation, and sick balances

• Support with audits, reporting, and legal documentation requests

• Assist with Personnel Action Forms and other HR updates

• Maintain confidentiality at all times

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English & Spanish (required)

• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including: Pivot Tables, VLookup, SUMIF)

• High School diploma required; some college coursework preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail

• Familiarity with wage & hour laws

• Experience with HRIS systems like ADP or Paylocity is a plus (but not required – will train)

• Strong sense of professionalism and ability to work with executive teams
