Key Staffing is actively hiring a Full Cycle Payroll Specialist in Bakersfield, CA.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Full Cycle Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for 135+ employees. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Paylocity, Prevailing Wage compliance, and 401(k) processing. Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data handling, and advanced Excel skills are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for 135+ employees, including hourly and salaried staff.
• Manage payroll for Prevailing Wage jobs and ensure wage compliance.
• Administer 401(k) deductions and reporting.
• Scrub, verify, and reconcile payroll data for accuracy.
• Utilize Paylocity for processing, reporting, and employee records management.
• Submit required reports to EDD and other government agencies.
• Address employee inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support audit processes.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll for mid- to large-sized teams (135+ employees).

• Proficiency in Paylocity and Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, data validation).

• Knowledge of Prevailing Wage laws, 401(k) contributions, and EDD regulations.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
