Pay: $33.00/hour ($68,500 annually) DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Overtime as Required

Position Overview
Key Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing organization in Bakersfield, CA. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, leading assigned work teams, and ensuring a safe, productive, and quality-driven work environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong manufacturing background who excels at coaching employees, driving continuous improvement, maintaining production schedules, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Essential Job Duties
Lead, motivate, and develop production team members to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
Supervise daily manufacturing operations while ensuring production schedules and customer deadlines are met.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment by enforcing all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and disciplinary conversations as needed.
Monitor production performance, labor utilization, efficiency, and work order costs to identify improvement opportunities.
Coordinate workflow between departments to ensure efficient production and timely completion of work orders.
Train, mentor, and develop employees to improve skills, performance, and career growth.
Communicate production expectations, department goals, and company objectives clearly and effectively.
Lead daily team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives while encouraging employee involvement in problem-solving.
Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Develop and maintain standardized work procedures that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Monitor department metrics related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, operating procedures, and work instructions.
Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to support operational goals and business objectives.
Recognize and reward employee accomplishments while promoting a positive, respectful, and accountable work culture.
Perform additional supervisory and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3–7 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including experience in a Lead or Supervisory role.
Previous experience supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and labor management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
Demonstrated experience improving productivity, quality, and operational performance.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and intermediate Excel.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, professionalism, and ethical leadership.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement experience.
Experience leading safety initiatives and promoting a strong safety culture.
Knowledge of production metrics, labor utilization, and cost management.
Proven success leading teams through process improvements and operational change.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing as required.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as business needs require.
