Job Title: HR Business Partner – Agriculture & Food Processing Industry
Location: Tulare, CA
Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000 + Bonus

Key Staffing is partnering with a leading company in the agriculture and nut processing industry. With four facilities located in Firebaugh, Tulare, Lost Hills, and Northern California, this organization specializes in pistachio processing and is committed to delivering high-quality products. The corporate office is based in Tulare, CA, where this position will primarily be located.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated HR Business Partner to join the HR team. This role is ideal for someone with strong employee relations experience who can step in to support the HR Director by managing sensitive investigations, handling complex employee matters, and strengthening employee engagement across all facilities.
The HR Business Partner will also assist with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and general HR support as needed. The ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish — written and verbal — is required to effectively support a bilingual workforce. Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends is essential, as employee relation issues may arise outside of standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary resource for employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct interviews, gather witness statements, and document findings during sensitive situations.
- Provide support in recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientations, ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Assist with benefits administration, HR compliance, and policy interpretation.
- Partner with managers and supervisors to coach on performance management and employee engagement strategies.
- Participate in HR projects, data reporting, and filing – contributing to the overall efficiency of the HR team.
- Travel occasionally to other facilities (Firebaugh, Lost Hills, Northern California) as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent HR experience).
- 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough investigations with discretion and professionalism.
- Fully biliterate in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write fluently).
- Working knowledge of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work flexible hours (including some nights and weekends) when employee relations matters arise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS experience required.
