Material Handler
Job Description
Job Overview:
The Material Handler is responsible for moving, organizing, and transporting materials throughout the warehouse to support daily operations. This role requires experience using RF scanners to accurately track inventory, stage product, and ensure materials are properly stored and ready for shipment or production. The Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and keeping workflow efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Use RF scanners to scan, track, and move inventory throughout the warehouse
Load, unload, and transport materials using pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (if certified)
Stage materials for shipping, receiving, or production orders
Pull, organize, and deliver materials to designated areas based on work orders
Assist with receiving shipments and verifying quantities and product accuracy
Label, sort, and store materials in correct warehouse locations
Perform basic inventory counts and assist with cycle counting
Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow all warehouse safety procedures
Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors
Meet productivity and accuracy standards while working in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous warehouse experience required
Must have RF scanning experience
Familiarity with inventory systems and warehouse procedures
Forklift experience/certification is a plus (sit-down or stand-up)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout shift
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Schedule:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Candidates must be available to work one of the listed shifts, including overtime as needed.
