Sandblaster – Temporary Project
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Start Date: Thursday, February 5, 2026
Duration: Approximately 2 weeks
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour (DOE)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sandblaster for a short-term project in Bakersfield, CA. This is a physically demanding role supporting an industrial project that requires attention to safety, quality, and efficiency. The assignment is expected to last two weeks, with the potential for extended hours and weekend work based on project needs.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 10–12 hours per day
- Possible Saturdays depending on workload
Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting operations to clean, prepare, and treat surfaces
- Follow all safety procedures related to sandblasting and confined space work
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work efficiently to meet project timelines
Requirements
- Prior sandblasting experience preferred
- Steel-toed boots required
- Fire-resistant (FR) clothing required
- Confined Space Certification required
- OR willingness to complete a 2-hour online confined space training prior to start
- Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding environment
- Strong commitment to safety and attendance
