Job Description

Key Staffing is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Firebaugh, Ca. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production equipment through preventive and predictive maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within our facility.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment shutdowns, startups, and cleaning.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery.
  • Execute routine building maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Diagnose issues to maintain production efficiency and assist in root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Monitor and adjust production parameters to ensure product quality.
  • Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems across electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment domains.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Adhere to Food Safety and Employee Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support sanitation efforts by assembling and disassembling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in building maintenance or equivalent training.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • 2-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance trades and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with machinery, tools, and equipment used in building maintenance.
  • Understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
