Position Overview
The Facilities Support Associate is a full-time temporary position responsible for assisting with the daily operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of the organization’s facilities. This role supports a wide range of tasks including general building upkeep, inventory management, vendor coordination, and administrative support.4
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general facility maintenance, including daily inspections and basic building upkeep
- Assist with office moves, furniture setup, and meeting room arrangements
- Support mailroom operations, including sorting and distributing mail
- Maintain and track departmental inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked as needed
- Research and coordinate the ordering of materials, equipment, and supplies
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and contractors for services and repairs
- Operate standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and telephones
- Complete deliveries and run errands as required
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday
- Ability to move and set up office furniture, equipment, and meeting spaces
- Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and standard office machinery
- Ability to work both indoors in an office environment and occasionally outdoors as needed
- Comfortable working in varying conditions, including exposure to dust, noise, and changing temperatures
Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in facilities support, maintenance, general labor, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and standard office equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, vendors, and contractors
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email, data entry, and office systems
