Key Staffing is hiring a Layer Production Manager for our client in Wasco, Ca! The Production Manager oversees poultry production operations, ensuring safety, biosecurity, flock health, and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing personnel, budgets, cost control, and overall production practices. This role also involves coordinating with teams, maintaining compliance, and handling various operational tasks.

Essential Functions:

• Lead safety, biosecurity, and operational programs.
• Oversee poultry husbandry, flock management, and bird scheduling.
• Collaborate with teams on production, financial, and processing issues.
• Manage production budgets, expenses, and employee scheduling.
• Coordinate with maintenance, vendors, and contractors for operational efficiency.
• Work with veterinarians on feed formulation and flock health.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement and maintain biosecurity measures.
• Supervise and train staff, manage performance, and handle HR tasks.
• Monitor and document production activities and training.
• Optimize productivity and cost-efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with farm equipment, budget management, and personnel supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record-keeping.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to manage and motivate staff, handle emergencies, and ensure compliance.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; BS or MS in Animal Science or Veterinary Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing a team of 25+ in poultry production.
