We are seeking a motivated and reliable Inside Sales Representative for a growing granite and stone company in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the granite, tile, flooring, countertop, construction supply, or home improvement industry. Candidates with previous experience at Home Depot, Lowe’s, tile companies, flooring companies, countertop suppliers, or similar building material environments are highly encouraged to apply.

This position combines customer service, inside sales, product knowledge, and warehouse support. The right candidate should be comfortable assisting customers in a showroom setting, answering product questions, preparing quotes, and helping coordinate orders from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, and order details
• Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and through email
• Prepare accurate quotes, invoices, sales orders, and customer paperwork
• Follow up with customers regarding orders, product availability, and timelines
• Coordinate with warehouse and yard staff to ensure orders are pulled, staged, and ready for pickup or delivery
• Assist with inventory tracking, product organization, and material management
• Operate a forklift to move, load, and organize granite slabs and related materials
• Maintain showroom, warehouse, and yard organization
• Support walk-in customers, contractors, designers, builders, and homeowners
• Ensure orders are completed accurately and professionally

Ideal Experience

• Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or showroom sales
• Background in granite, tile, flooring, countertops, construction materials, or home improvement preferred
• Experience working at Home Depot, Lowe’s, tile companies, flooring companies, or similar building material suppliers is a strong plus
• Forklift experience required; certification is a plus
• Comfortable working in both a showroom and warehouse/yard environment
• Ability to lift and handle materials as needed
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Basic computer skills for invoicing, quotes, order entry, and customer records
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Schedule

Full-time schedule. Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.

Compensation

Starting at $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
