Key Staffing is partnering with a respected industry leader to identify a skilled Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at a metals separation facility. Direct Hire Opportunity | Lost Hills, CA | $85,000–$120,000 | 1st or 2nd Shift
About the Opportunity:
As the Plant Operations Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for managing plant efficiency, driving safety and quality standards, and leading a team of operators and technicians. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in metals processing, recycling, or industrial-scale plant operations, along with a strong focus on leadership and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations to ensure safe and efficient material processing.
Implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
Develop and maintain SOPs, safety procedures, and quality control systems.
Lead, train, and evaluate plant personnel; support team growth and accountability.
Monitor inventory, coordinate with maintenance, and manage plant equipment.
Ensure all operations meet OSHA, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Analyze production data and provide regular reports to leadership.
Support collaboration with logistics, sales, and executive teams to align goals.
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in plant operations (preferably metals or recycling).
Leadership experience in a high-paced industrial environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of safety/compliance protocols.
Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial management is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work in varied weather conditions and around industrial equipment.
Must pass a drug screen and physical.
Valid driver’s license required.
Willingness to travel temporarily for training, if needed.
