Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience

Key Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Director on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement in all aspects of Human Resources. The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to leadership while fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance, and driving initiatives that support organizational success.


Position Summary

The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and organizational development.


This role partners closely with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation.

  • Partner with managers to support workforce planning and talent development initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management.

  • Oversee employee performance evaluation programs, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and professional development planning.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining up-to-date HR policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and collaborate with Finance regarding payroll processes.

  • Lead employee training, leadership development, and organizational development initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR metrics, and reporting for senior leadership.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to HR processes, policies, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

  • Partner with leadership on change management and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, California state, and local employment laws and Human Resources best practices.

  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or comparable Human Resources certification.

  • Experience working within a medium-to-large manufacturing or industrial organization.

  • Experience utilizing HRIS systems and payroll software.

  • Experience leading organizational development and change management initiatives.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
