Human Resources Coordinator (Temporary to Hire)

Location: Tulare County, CA (Travel to Lost Hills & Firebaugh during Harvest)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: Up to $25.00/hour DOE
Assignment Type: Temporary (5–6 months) with potential for permanent employment


Position Overview

Key Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Human Resources Coordinator to join a growing agricultural organization. This position will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department during the busy harvest season. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Essential Job Duties

  • Maintain accurate employee records through filing and document management.
  • Perform high-volume data entry with a strong attention to detail.
  • Generate and distribute employee timecard reports to staffing agencies.
  • Assist with remote onboarding and new hire processing during harvest.
  • Reconcile invoices and assist with administrative recordkeeping.
  • Support HR projects and daily departmental operations.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, supervisors, staffing agencies, and management.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information.
  • Assist with orientation and onboarding activities as needed.

Harvest Support

During the annual harvest onboarding period, this position will assist with employee orientations at multiple locations. Responsibilities may include:

  • Welcoming and checking in new hires.
  • Presenting orientation information to groups of employees.
  • Assisting employees with onboarding paperwork and electronic documents.
  • Answering basic HR and employment-related questions.
  • Providing administrative support throughout the orientation process.

Travel to Lost Hills and Firebaugh will be required during the harvest orientation period.


Qualifications

Required

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of small and medium-sized groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to nearby work locations as needed.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Preferred

  • Previous Human Resources or administrative experience.
  • Experience with recruiting, interviewing, or onboarding employees.
  • Experience working in agriculture, manufacturing, or a fast-paced office environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available to work extended shifts of up to 10 hours during the harvest orientation period (approximately two weeks, July 27 through August 4).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support a collaborative HR team.
