Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Framer to join our construction team. The Framer will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing building frameworks and structures, including walls, floors, roofs, and door and window frames. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and working safely in a fast-paced construction environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble wood and metal framing for residential and commercial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications
- Measure, cut, and install framing materials according to project requirements
- Build walls, floors, roofs, stairways, and other structural components
- Install door and window frames, subfloors, and roof trusses
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Verify measurements and ensure work meets quality standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Work closely with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous framing experience required
- Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of framing techniques, materials, and construction methods
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction or carpentry experience
- Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing
- Ability to work at heights and on ladders
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
