Job Summary:
Key Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Framer for the Bakersfield and San Diego area. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential wood framing, rough carpentry, and construction environments. This role involves assembling wood framing components, measuring and cutting lumber, and assisting with material preparation for construction projects. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble wood framing components including wall panels, floor systems, and roof structures.
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Install studs, joists, rafters, and trusses for framing structures.
- Use hand and power tools such as nail guns, circular saws, levels, and measuring tools.
- Assist with material staging, loading, and organizing lumber in the yard.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
- Work with team members to ensure production deadlines and quality standards are met.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of framing or rough carpentry experience preferred
- Experience working with wood framing systems and construction materials
- Ability to read tape measures and follow basic construction plans
- Comfortable operating power tools and pneumatic nail guns
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an outdoor yard environment
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with roof truss installation, sheathing, and framing layout
- Knowledge of construction safety practices
