Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operations of their vehicle fleet. This role is responsible for managing vehicle acquisition, scheduling, compliance, and vendor relationships to ensure the fleet remains safe, reliable, and cost-efficient. The Fleet Manager will also develop and implement preventive maintenance and accident prevention programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Manage and monitor the upkeep of all owned and leased vehicles. Implement a data-driven program to track maintenance schedules and ensure operational efficiency.
- Fleet Operations: Oversee vehicle acquisition, budgeting, fuel card management, and cost-effective fleet replacement strategies.
- Scheduling & Dispatch Coordination: Act as the liaison between operational teams to coordinate vehicle availability, minimize downtime, and optimize fleet readiness.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with service providers to ensure timely vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate vehicle records, including DMV documentation, insurance policies, and claims management. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations.
- Safety & Preventive Maintenance Programs: Develop and enforce fleet safety protocols, preventive maintenance strategies, and accident prevention measures.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct daily and monthly inspections to ensure fleet readiness and adherence to company standards.
- Management & Communication: Attend staff meetings, provide updates on fleet operations, and collaborate with leadership to ensure seamless vehicle management.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, including attending training sessions and responding to fleet-related incidents.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within fleet management, with expertise in fleet service systems and regulatory compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fleet management software, Microsoft Office Suite, inventory programs, and electronic repair manuals.
- Leadership & Organization: Strong ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and maintain operational efficiency.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and effective cross-department collaboration.
- Flexibility & Reliability: Must be able to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Education & Certifications:
- Valid CDL with a clean DMV report.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be insurable under the company’s fleet insurance policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, and climbing as needed.
Salary Range:
- $98,000 - $110,000 annually (DOE)
