Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Shift: 8AM-4:30PM

Position Summary:
Key Staffing is seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician for a food processing facility in Tulare, CA. The ideal candidate will perform routine building maintenance across multiple trades including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repairs.

• Perform preventive building maintenance, including sealing windows/doors and replacing broken fixtures.

• Conduct routine plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, water fountains).

• Handle basic electrical work (replace light bulbs, repair fixtures).

• Assemble/move furniture, install bulletin boards, and set up meeting areas.

• Repair/rekey locks, patch walls, and paint interiors/exteriors.

• Assist maintenance team with breakdowns and line maintenance.

• Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.

• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of trades related to facility maintenance and repair.

• Proficiency in safe use of hand and power tools.

• Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.

• Effective communication skills (oral and written).

• Ability to work independently or in a team setting, with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and create weekly inspection routines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, kneel, and perform repetitive motions.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally more with assistance.

• Work indoors/outdoors, around equipment, in varying temperatures, and occasionally at heights.

Work Environment:
This role requires working around machinery, walking on uneven ground, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and occasional extreme temperatures.
