Overview:
Our client, a respected leader in the healthcare services industry, is seeking an experienced Director of Billing & Business Services to oversee and optimize the billing operations for medical services. This position is critical in leading a high-performing team and ensuring regulatory compliance across the full revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and mentor medical billing staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.
Manage all aspects of the billing and collection process, including intake, verification, coding, claims submission, A/R, and collections.
Direct daily department operations to align with company goals and industry regulations.
Monitor team productivity and implement performance metrics and continuous improvement strategies.
Oversee full revenue cycle accountability from client intake to final collections and cash posting.
Stay current with federal and state regulations affecting billing practices and ensure timely communication of changes to leadership.
Ensure payer reimbursements comply with contracts and maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
Collaborate with executive leadership to support business goals and community service initiatives.
Supervise performance management, including hiring, onboarding, training, and corrective actions in partnership with HR.
Maintain billing system integrity and work with IT on system upgrades and functionality.
Promote HIPAA compliance and protect all patient health information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or 5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing billing or reimbursement operations in a healthcare environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer regulations.
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and billing/reporting systems.

Strategic thinker with a solid understanding of business and financial operations.
Experience developing compliant billing and reimbursement policies.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs frequently.
Occasional walking, standing, bending, squatting, and twisting may be required.
