Position Overview

Key Staffing is partnering with a respected healthcare organization in Visalia that is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with a background in medical insurance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping members, explaining healthcare benefits, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working for a medical insurance carrier or health plan and possess a strong understanding of medical billing, claims, and member benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Member Services

• Respond to member inquiries regarding healthcare benefits and coverage.
• Explain plan benefits, eligibility, and claim status.
• Assist members in understanding their insurance coverage and available services.
• Provide accurate and professional customer service over the phone and through written communication.

Claims & Benefits Support

• Research and explain claim processing status.
• Review member accounts to resolve questions and concerns.
• Assist with benefit verification and eligibility inquiries.
• Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
• Resolve member concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Previous experience in medical insurance customer service.
• Experience with medical billing and insurance terminology.
• Ability to explain member benefits and claim status.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working for a medical insurance carrier (such as Cigna or a similar organization).
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Data entry
• Healthcare systems and insurance software experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: Starting at $19.50/hour
