Job Title: Contents Technician

Pay Rate: $17.75 – $18.75/hour

Position Summary:
We are hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Contents Technician to join a restoration team in Bakersfield, CA. This position plays a vital role in inventorying, packing, cleaning, and storing personal property following water, fire, or smoke damage. Performance Objectives:

• Conduct inventory and documentation of damaged contents at customer sites.

• Pack, transport, and unpack items with care to prevent further damage.

• Clean, deodorize, and restore salvageable items using industry-standard equipment.

• Assist with on-site and off-site cleaning of structures and contents.

• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely progress.

• Maintain accurate tracking of contents in internal systems and storage units.

• Provide excellent customer service while representing the restoration team with professionalism.

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during restoration work.

• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to lift, move, and pack heavy objects safely and efficiently.

• Empathy and professionalism in customer-facing situations.

• Comfortable working in environments affected by smoke, water, and debris.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in general labor, restoration, moving, or warehouse roles preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience working in customer homes or commercial settings is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.

• Comfortable working in varied indoor environments, including those affected by damage.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when needed.
