Accounting Clerk
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Pay: $18-$24/hr.
About the Company:
A small, fast-paced tax firm providing professional financial services to our clients. Our close-knit team consists of five dedicated professionals. This company is looking for the right person to join us during the busy tax season. If you prove to be a great fit, this position may transition into a permanent role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain QuickBooks (desktop), Microsoft 365, and Excel to support tax preparation and accounting functions.
- Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and document organization.
- Manage customer inquiries professionally, both in-person and over the phone, as needed.
- Work efficiently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Support the team with administrative and clerical tasks as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to everyone walking in, calling in or emailing.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) required to assist diverse clientele.
- Experience with QuickBooks (desktop version), Microsoft 365, and Excel is a must.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a small team of strong personalities.
