Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power Plant Mechanic to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical equipment and systems within a power plant facility. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the plant operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on power plant equipment, including turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, conduct troubleshooting, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is inspected, serviced, and tested regularly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other team members to ensure seamless plant operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry standards and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical systems preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a power plant or similar industrial setting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a power generation environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.
